Strong winds force ITV’s World Cup team to relocate during live broadcast

ITV World Cup presenters were forced to abandon their outdoors rooftop studios in New York as fierce winds battered the pundits.

Laura Woods, alongside panelists Juan Mata, Karen Carney, and Patrick Vieira, were providing coverage of the Switzerland vs Bosnia & Herzegovina match when intense weather struck on Thursday (18 June).

The team was ultimately forced to retreat indoors, after the winds blew the panelists’ clothes and hair all over the place.

“We have relocated downstairs and inside to get away from the wind,” Woods explained ahead of the Canada vs Qatar match as the group sat in a new studio.
