Strictly viewers all say the same thing about 'weird' semi-final episode

Strictly Come Dancing viewers confessed they were finding the semi-finals all a bit weird on Sunday night.

The show normally airs its pre-recorded results show around the time it was on, which is actually filmed on the Saturday after the live episode.

But thanks to a schedule shake-up, the main show aired on Sunday evening and didn't air on Saturday at all.

It was then confirmed that the results show would air on Monday evening, and not straight after on Sunday.

As fans tuned in to the live semi-finals, which will see all stars perform twice, fans confessed it was "weird".

They were so used to seeing this episode on a Saturday and the results on a Sunday, that watching it tonight left them feeling a bit off.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer confessed of the change: "Well this is weird for a Sunday, it’s normally the results show."

Another fan agreed: "It’s weird watching @bbcstrictly on a Sunday night, I’m usually watching the result show."

A third viewer added: "Weird af having the main #strictly show on a Sunday, but it's a nice novelty getting it watch it live."

Meanwhile another said: "Strictly on a Sunday feels weird but here goes..."

It comes as the show was moved to a completely new slot, thanks to the World Cup coverage - with England facing France on Saturday night.

TV guides confirmed the schedule shake-up days before the show was due to air, while many fans were hoping to get their usual Saturday fix of the series.

Speaking about the schedule changes, the BBC had said in an earlier statement: "Strictly Come Dancing will continue to bring glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation throughout the 2022 FIFA World Cup."

Taking to Twitter, one person fumed: "I'm so mad that #Strictly is on next Sunday instead of Saturday".

A second stated: "Bloody annoying that the football takes priority on the schedule. First it being on a Friday, now the main show on a Sunday, it’s messing with my week #Strictly".

Strictly Come Dancing 2022’s grand final airs on Saturday, 17 December.
