Strictly star congratulated by his ex wife as he announces first baby and engagement to Love Island beauty

Congratulations have been pouring in after Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones announced that he is engaged to Love Island star Chyna Mills. Neil, 40, said "excitement is an understatement" as they revealed that not only are they getting married, the loved-up couple are expecting their first baby.

Model and content creator Chyna, 24, is 13 weeks pregnant and is due to give birth this autumn. Neil told HELLO! magazine that he'd already planned to ask Chyna to marry him before they knew she was pregnant.

Neil, who joined the BBC One dance show in 2016 and performed with his first celebrity sports presenter Alex Scott in 2019, had been secretly planning his proposal while on the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour earlier this year. His Strictly co-stars flocked to congratulate the pair including his ex wife Katya Jones.

She shared a picture from their HELLO! photoshoot on her Instagram Stories and applauded: "So happy for these two." And she added to Neil, tagging him in: "You deserve all the happiness."

Neil and Chyna went public with their romance last August. Chyna was one of the Casa Amor bombshells in last summer's series of the ITV2 dating show Love Island. The beauty was coupled-up with Jay Younger but their journey in the villa ended when they were dumped from the Island following a vote.

Fellow Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez exclaimed: "Congratulations guys!!!" and Nancy Xu messaged: "Wowwwwwww CONGRATULATIONS to you both." Chyna's Love Island co-star Luca Bish wrote: "Congratulations guys."

Fellow Islander Dami Hope said: "Omg congratulations times x2 what a wholesome moment." And Gemma Owen said with a love heart: "Congratulations." Summer Botwe told Chyna: "I’m literally crying all over again." And Indiyah Polack exclaimed: "OMGGG!!! Wow congratulations."

Neil and Katya announced their separation after 11 years together and six years of marriage in an official statement in August 2019. The dancers said they would continue to love each other as friends.

Their statement said: "As our fans and loyal supporters you are really important to us and so we wanted to let you know some news. After 11 years, we have made the mutual decision to separate."

"We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends. This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together.

"Our shared love of dance means we will keep working and dancing together as well as exploring individual projects. No matter what we do we will always support and respect each other.

"We wish one another every happiness and we will remain the best of friends. We are really looking forward to getting back to the ballroom and can't wait to keep on dancing. Lots of love from us both."

During the 2018 series the Russian dancer hit headlines when she was pictured kissing her celeb partner, comedian Seann Walsh, on a night out. The scandal ended Seann's relationship with his then partner Rebecca Humphries.
