Strictly’s Helen Skelton back in rehearsals without Gorka as she suffers 'awkward' fashion mishap

Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen Skelton has started rehearsals for the live tour without her former dance partner Gorka Marqez.

The Countryfile presenter won over viewers with her impressive dance moves on the BBC hit show. The mum-of-three made it to the final with her professional dancing partner Gorka however they just missed out on lifting the glitterball trophy.

Despite the final being less than a month ago the star is back in the rehearsal room as she prepares for the upcoming tour.

Helen will be joined by winners Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal and other couples like Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin and Will Mellor and Nancy Xu.

However Helen will not be dancing with Gorka for the tour and instead will be partnered up with Kai Widdrington. Updating her followers on rehearsals, Helen reposted a video clip, originally posted by Tyler West, to her Instagram story where she could be seen posing with pro dancers Dianne Buswell and Amy Dowden as well as fellow finalist Molly Rainford.

She also shared a selfie sat next to dance partner Kai as well as Molly and her pro dance partner Carlos. Helen later shared her “awkward” fashion moment as she accidentally matched with Eastenders Jimmy Bye’s on screen character Martin Fowler.

The former Blue Peter shared a video to her Stories, where she could be seen wearing the same coat as fictional Eastenders character Martin.

She captioned the clip: “Awkward when you realise you’re wearing @jimmybye on screen wardrobe in real life.”

Earlier this week, Gorka gave a clear indication he planned to go and watch Helen on tour, writing: "I can’t wait to see you dancing again on tour," underneath a video she shared of them in the Strictly final.”
