Strictly's Helen Skelton addresses show 'mistake' as she chats about kids

Helen Skelton has addressed her "mistakes" on Saturday night's show that saw her narrowly miss out on a 10 from Craig Revel Horwood.

The Strictly star sat down with partner Gorka Marquez on BBC Two's Strictly It Takes Two on Friday night with host Rylan Clarke to discuss last week's dance. Helen and Gorka were quick to discuss the "mistakes" that were made in their last dance.

However, despite the mistakes they still managed to score 37 and their first 10 with their Jive.

Rylan addressed when Helen's hat fell off at the start of the dance and then the moment she made a slight mistake during the dance when she went out of time.

Helen said: "The last thing he said to me was, 'Helen make sure that hat's on' and I was like yeah yeah fine. He always says stop talking to everybody and just concentrate.

"I was like I've got it, that hat's on. And the hat wasn't on."

Rylan also addressed a mistake that Helen made further on into the dance. Speaking about it Helen said: "I just thought in the last minute I might change it and mix it up and that's what I did.

"I don't even know what happened, I just went to go and then I didn't go and it was what it was."

Helen also revealed that one of her children religiously watches the show and gives her feedback on all of her dances.

"So my eldest son doesn't watch it as he's seen me on TV before. But his friends at school ask him about my dance and what I'm doing.

"The middle one repeats it and gives me a full debrief and he likes to do the moon walk and to know exactly what we're doing every week, comes to training. And the baby just doesn't know what's happening. "

Rylan was also joined on the sofa by Kym Marsh and her partner Graziano who is dancing to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol in this week's show.
