Strictly's Amy Dowden thanks mother-in-law as she goes on honeymoon months after wedding

Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden and her husband Benjamin Jones are off on their honeymoon. Amy and Ben, who own the Art in Motion dance academy together, tied the knot in a Welsh ceremony last summer.

The pair got married at a stunning venue in the Gower after a two-year delay due to the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday, July 2. Now, nine months after their nuptials the duo are enjoying some downtime.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Amy shared a selfie of the pair with a suitcase as they prepared to travel to their honeymoon destination. In another Amy shared a picture of a delicious dish and announced the honeymoon had officially begun before sending a sweet message of thanks to her mother-in-law.

She wrote: "Honeymoon has begun! Biggest thanks to my mother-in-law for looking after Lenny and house-sitting! We love you."

In another snap, Amy shared a picture of her glass of fizz and simply captioned it: "Happy Honeymoon." It comes after Amy announced over the weekend her Dare to Dance series would be returning for a second season.

She told her 328k followers: "Hi everyone, I’m super excited to announce that Dare to Dance is coming back for a second series. So, if you live in Wales and you’d like to take part I’d LOVE to hear from you!

"It was such a pleasure and a privilege to teach so many lovely people a dance for the first series and to watch as they then went on to surprise their friends and family with their brilliant performances - and I can’t wait to do it all again!"
