Strictly's Amy Dowden is learning Welsh as part of a TV challenge

Iaith ar Daith has announced it's returning for a third series with six new celebrities. The S4C show sees a line-up of famous faces go on a journey to learn Welsh.

Strictly Come Dancing 's Amy Dowden is joining the cast, alongside former Welsh Rugby International Richard Parks and Welsh comedian and actor Mike Bubbins. Also in this year's line-up is priest and reality television start Rev Kate Bottley, DJ and presenter Katie Owen and Casualty actor Amanda Henderson.

The show is making a comeback on Sunday, April 10 and will see the celebrities head off on a road trip to learn Welsh with the help of a mentor, who is also a well-known face. The stars will then head off to parts of Wales which are significant to them and complete challenges along the way.

This year the mentors are singer and broadcaster Aled Jones, who will team up with Amy, BBC Radio DJ and presenter Huw Stephens, who will join Katie, and ultra-marathon runner Lowri Morgan who will accompany Richard.

Meanwhile, Match of the Day presenter Jason Mohammad will join Kate Bottley, while Welsh stand-up comedian and actor Elis James will team up with Mike and Hinterland actor Mali Harries will join forces with Amanda.

Each celebrity will have an online session with tutor Aran Jones before setting off for four days on a Welsh roadtrip. The third series comes after the second installment saw Steve Backshall and Joanna Scanlan take on the challenge, while season one included Adrian Chiles, Ruth Jones and Carol Vorderman.
