Strictly first look at celebs in full glitter as Helen Skelton, Kym Marsh and Fleur East lead line up

This year’s Strictly Come Dancing will look dramatically different to that of the last few years as contestants are free of most Covid restrictions which hindered recent seasons.

And the star-studded line-up has given us a taste of what’s to come as this year’s celebs huddles in close for a very sparkly photoshoot this weekend.

The dancing stars were seen in their super glam outfits for the first time as they posed for a promotional shoot ahead of the 2022 series launch episode.

This week it was announced that the show would move from its original launch date amid schedule changes in the wake of the Queen’s death.

The 20th series of the dance competition was due to return to screens tonight, just two days before the late monarch’s state funeral on September 19.

Completing the 2022 line-up are Paralympic swimming gold medallist Ellie Simmonds, comedian Jayde Adams, Coronation Street ’s Kym Marsh , Loose Women star Kaye Adams, Radio 2’s Richie Anderson and Countryfile cameraman Hamza Yassin.

The stars looked raring to go in their jazzy outfits ahead of their battle for the Glitterball Trophy.

Singer Molly Rainford looked gorgeous in a satin blue gown which featured a daring thigh-high split, while broadcaster and journalist Kaye Adams defied her years as she donned a navy blue version of a similar style.

Coronation Street star and presenter Kym Marsh was a vision in her 1920s inspired sequin dress, which featured frill detailing and a neckline which plunged to her navel.

Comedian Jayde Adams was the only female contestant not to wear a frock but instead opted for a sleek in a sheer pink top and white trousers with matching suspenders.
