This year’s Strictly Come Dancing will look dramatically different to that of the last few years as contestants are free of most Covid restrictions which hindered recent seasons.
And the star-studded line-up has given us a taste of what’s to come as this year’s celebs huddles in close for a very sparkly photoshoot this weekend.
The dancing stars were seen in their super glam outfits for the first time as they posed for a promotional shoot ahead of the 2022 series launch episode.
This week it was announced that the show would move from its original launch date amid schedule changes in the wake of the Queen’s death.
The 20th series of the dance competition was due to return to screens tonight, just two days before the late monarch’s state funeral on September 19.
The launch show will now air on September 23 followed by the first live show on September 24, the BBC has said.
Stars taking to the dance floor this year are James Bye, Fleur East and Will Mellor, as well as Countryfile star Helen Skelton, comedian Ellie Taylor, Bros singer Matt Goss, Kiss radio host Tyler West, former England footballer Tony Adams and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Molly Rainford.
Completing the 2022 line-up are Paralympic swimming gold medallist Ellie Simmonds, comedian Jayde Adams, Coronation Street ’s Kym Marsh , Loose Women star Kaye Adams, Radio 2’s Richie Anderson and Countryfile cameraman Hamza Yassin.
The stars looked raring to go in their jazzy outfits ahead of their battle for the Glitterball Trophy.

Former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton showed off her never-ending legs in a sequin tasselled mini-dress while superstar Fleur East looked ready to rumba as she also donned a stunning bedazzled mini dress with a very flattering plunge neckline.

Comedian Jayde Adams was the only female contestant not to wear a frock but instead opted for a sleek in a sheer pink top and white trousers with matching suspenders.
Tyler West, Hamza Yassin, Will Mellor, Matt Goss and Tony Adams looked incredibly handsome alongside the ladies as they donned a series of bold coloured suits and hats.
