Strictly fans scored Ellie Taylor lower than the judges after Hocus Pocus routine

Strictly Come Dancing returned for its Halloween special last weekend, as the spooky stars performed spine-tingling routines to some terrifying tunes.

James Bye alongside partner Amy Dowden became the fifth star to be eliminated from the show after landing in the dreaded dance-off against Fleur East and Vito Coppola.

The losing pair performed a Charleston to Bumble Bee by LaVern Baker, but many viewers were left underwhelmed with the overall theme of the dance.

This was apparent as Strictly fans scored the Eastenders star a disappointing 6.6 following his unusual performance.

Every week we’re giving readers the chance to score the dancers and let us know whether they thought Craig Revel Horwood was bang out of order, or if it really was too early for that 10 from Shirley.

Following Saturday night’s display, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal landed on top of the public’s scoreboard for the third week running after they danced the terrifying tango to Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game.

The performance held viewers spellbound after scooping an average score of 8.2.

Will Mellor and Nancy Xu finished in second place as they secured a score of 7.9 from the public, after dressing up as a mummy for his Cha Cha Cha.

In third place on the public's scoreboard sits Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez following their freaky foxtrot dressed as characters from Little Red Riding Hood.

However, the Strictly judges placed the Blue Peter star in sixth place on Saturday night as she received a score of 32.

At the other end of the leader board is Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin who donned Velma and Shaggy outfits for their foxtrot.
