Strictly fans distracted by Shrek 'blunder' during Aljaz and Sara's Movie Week dance
Strictly Come Dancing aired a fun performance from Aljaz Skorjanec and Sara Davies on Saturday night, as they took on Shrek for Movie Week.
But viewers were very confused by a particular element of the performance, with some even questioning if the couple had not followed the rules - or whether they had made a blunder with the theme.
Several viewers judged the pair for their song choice, given the fact they did not go for a well-known track from the films.
Most viewers were won over though, as Aljaz and Sara dressed up as Shrek and Princess Fiona - and they certainly looked the part.
Some fans even confessed they "still fancied" pro dancer Aljaz in his Shrek attire, as others claimed it was all a little scary.
But the biggest talking point wasn't the dance or the outfits, as viewers questioned the song choice.
The pairing danced a Samba to Best Years of Our Lives by Modern Romance, from Shrek.
But it seems the song was featured in the credits and not the actual movie, hence why very few people seemed to know it from the film - assuming it was instead from the musical.
Taking to Twitter, viewers all began asking the same questions as they tried to work out if the song should have been chosen for Movie Week, and why a different track wasn't decided on.
One viewer asked: "I don’t remember this song from Shrek?"
Another tweeted: "Which Shrek was this song in?"
A third questioned: "Is this song from Shrek or the Shrek musical? I don't recognise it? Thought the point was the song was from a movie?"
Meanwhile, a fourth fan wrote: "Sorry never heard that song in Shrek before in my life."
The comments kept coming, with one reading: "Cannot believe that they aren’t dancing to All Star."
Another agreed: "Anyone else expecting All Star with the Shrek dance."
Meanwhile, some viewers were too busy questioning the fact they still fancied pro dancer Aljaz despite the wardrobe and the green paint, as he underwent quite the transformation.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday nights on BBC One, with the results show on Sundays.
