Strictly Come Dancing fans unimpressed with Tess Daly's Kelvin Fletcher blunder

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were pretty divided over a mistake made by host Tess Daly during the live final on Saturday night.

Hours before he was crowned 2019 winner with professional dance partner Oti Mabuse, Tess made a blunder when introducing him to perform.

As Kelvin was about to perform his penultimate dance of the series, Tess suffered a mishap when she accidentally called him "Kevin".

This might be deemed an easy mistake to make, with people often doing the same.

But with it now the final, some fans believed she'd had plenty of time to get his name right.

It happened just ahead of the video intro for his dance.

Tess was heard saying: "It's taken months of training, and Oti's endless support to make Kevin..."

She quickly pulled a face as she realised her mistake, finishing: "Kelvin, look as good as he does."

Another agreed: "Freudiant slip by Tess? Calling Kelvin Kevin on the final."

A third commented: "Lol at Claudia stuffing up and Oti having to correct her! That's after Tess called Kelvin Kevin in the intro and all."

Moments later Claudia Winkleman made her own mistake with the couple, leading to Oti correcting her.

She prepared to bring up the leader board, before Oti and Kelvin had even been marked for their dance.

Oti then pointed out her blunder, telling her: "...it's the scores."

As the cast and judges began laughing, Claudia realised her mistake given the judges hadn't even scored yet.

Kelvin and Oti went on to win the series, both left in tears as they lifted the Glitterball Trophy.
