Storm Arwen launches spire through Aberdeen bar's roof leaving major damage

Storm Arwen launched a spire through an Aberdeen bar leaving major damage behind.

Pictures of the incident showed smashed glass and debries at Revolution on Belmont street.

At this time it is unconfirmed if anyone has been injured.

Fubar News posted: "The missing spire from the Priory has been located.

"It fell into Revolution after being blown off in the storm last night."

It comes as the Met Office has issued a total of five warnings in Scotland for extreme weather as Storm Arwen took hold.

Scotland was been placed under red alert for wind - the highest warning possible meaning there was a danger to life and a serious risk of damage to buildings.

Forecasters warned that flying debris is a danger to life, roofs could blow off and roads, bridges and railway lines could close, while large waves could batter coastal towns.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
