Maya Jama and Laura Whitmore have hit back at claims they ignored each at Saturday night’s Brit Awards.

Former Love Island presenter Whitmore, 37, and Jama, who currently fronts the show’s winter series, both attended the show at the O2.

Rumours and reports circulated claiming that the pair didn’t interact with each other, suggesting a feud.

Used as evidence that they were actively avoiding each other, a picture circulated from the night showing both women at the same table but only engaging in conversation with other people.

OK! magazine also quoted an unnamed source who claimed that the pair “didn’t interact”.

Sharing a screenshot of the claims, Whitmore wrote: “I’m so sick of the media constantly trying to run this narrative with women.

“Imagine the audacity of also talking to other people at our table.

“Stop trying to put women against each other and start celebrating women supporting women!”

She continued: “We had a great night,” along with a kiss emoji while tagging Jama in the post.

Jama, 28, reposted the message, adding: “Silly silly silly. I think very highly of @thewhitmore & think she’s an angel. Maybe quote that instead.”

Whitmore announced last year that she would not be returning to the hit ITV2 show. Jama, who hosted a Britss party following the awards ceremony, was brought in as her replacement.
