Stones pelted for 3rd time on Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat express' windowpane

LUCKNOW: For the third time, the windowpane of Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat express was damaged in an alleged act stone pelting.

The incident took place around 10am on Friday when the train was cruising through Malhur railway station.

According to the official source, the train left Malhur at 10:01am, and at 10:06 am a passenger called the railway control room informing about the incident.

Meanwhile, RPF Malhur police outpost has lodged an FIR against unknown person under railway act 147 and 153.

RPF has contacted Gorakhpur based coach maintenance staff to share the CCTV footage of onboard train to ascertain the sequence of event.

Earlier on August 6, two minors standing at the foot overbridge at Safedabad railway station allegedly threw stones at the express train for fun sake and damaged the windowpane of Vande Bharat express.

Prior to that on July 11, stones were pelted at Vande Bharat Express at Sohawal station in Ayodhya district by man & his son to avenge the death of their herds of goats, which were mowed down by Vande Bharat express.
