Steven Naismith reveals Celtic's one path to title glory over Rangers as Parkhead nemesis makes telling prediction

Steven Naismith insists Celtic will have to win every game to have any hope of catching Rangers this season.

However, the former Ibrox attacker reckons the pressure could be off Neil Lennon 's side after falling so far behind in the title race.

Going into this weekend's fixtures, the Hoops trail Steven Gerrard's side by 19 points, albeit having played three games less.

Hearts striker Naismith believes Celtic will have to show a massive upturn in form if they are to close the gap on their Glasgow rivals.

The 34-year-old, who loves nothing than a dust-up with the Hoops, admits he he can't see a repeat of Rangers collapse, and doesn't foresee Celtic getting the points on the board to mount a serious challenge.

Naismith told the PLZ Football Show : "Last season now comes right into play in terms of the mistakes they made and how they portrayed things during the break in January and the fall-out from that.

"I think the manager has been pretty clear and showing we do not get too high about this, and some players are now coming out and saying that.

"For them it's a great situation to focus on the next game; just every week look at the next game, next game and next game.

"Celtic are in a situation where they can't drop any more points. There is no points left to give up for Celtic. Rangers just need to consistently keep going and put all the pressure on Celtic.

"The one thing for Celtic is that people are writing them off and not giving them a chance. They've got nothing to lose they could say let's go and just have a go.

"For me, I just can't see Celtic going unbeaten for the season."
