Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper hopes injuries suffered by Jordi Osei-Tutu and Alex Mighten will not prove to be anything serious.
The pair had to be substituted during the Reds’ 2-1 win over Hull City as Cooper’s side extended their unbeaten run to nine games.
Arsenal loanee Osei-Tutu suffered a knock early on against the Tigers, but although he tried to continue, he was replaced by Mighten in the 40th minute.
The Reds winger was then forced off himself in the second half, picking up an injury as he won a penalty which helped his team get back in the game after falling behind.
"They are a bit sore,” said Cooper. "They are contact injuries, so we won't know for a day or two the extent of them.
"My hope is they are just bangs and will just take a few days to get over.
"If it's anything more serious than that, then we'll find out - but that's where my hope lies.”
Osei-Tutu has only just returned from a lengthy absence due to the recurrence of a hamstring injury which hampered his loan spell at Cardiff City last term.
There was no indication that contributed to his departure against the Tigers, though.
"Jordi played on for 10 minutes or so,” said Cooper. It was a real pity because he started really well, looked a real threat and had some exciting moments. You could see the crowd getting off their feet behind him.
"He just needs some luck. He's such a lovely kid. Fingers crossed for him.”
Winger Joe Lolley was not included in the matchday squad, having missed last week’s 4-1 thumping over Swansea City through illness after he had recovered from a previous knock.
"Joe is having a bit of a frustrating time,” the head coach added.
"He was back in training, then he had another knock which has just forced him out for a few days.
"Hopefully we'll see him next week.”
