Steve Bruce welcomes back Allan Saint-Maximin and Fabian Schar for Chelsea visit

Steve Bruce is set to welcome back Allan Saint-Maximin for the clash with Chelsea - and Fabian Schar is set to be passed fit if he gets through training today.

But it is the return of the French star that will get fans excited this weekend.

Saint-Maximin has been out with a hamstring problem but is back in training and has declared himself fit.

Bruce said: "Allan has trained for two weeks and should be back.

"It's good news for everybody - hopefully he is OK. He's got that raw pace and power and can change a game in a flash.

"We have missed him over the last four or five weeks.

"It's good to see him back. Fabian Schar is OK."

Bruce though will still have his fair share of injuries for the visit of Chelsea.

He said: "We have been down to the bones.

"We had 12 or 13 injured out of a squad of 25 and when you consider the squad has three goalkeepers.

"Manquillo, Muto, Ki, Yedlin, Gayle and Dummett are out - and we are waiting on Andy Carroll."
