Steps star Claire Richards told she was "too skinny" for I'm a Celeb

Steps star Claire Richards was told she was too thin to take part in  I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here by producers.

The singer said producers hadn't realised she'd lost weight and wanted her to be fatter to go on the show.

Claire has had a well-documented battle with her weight - until she found a weight loss programme that suited her, leading to her maintaining her skinny frame.

She had previously taken part in a BBC Three programme which followed her pre-wedding weight loss efforts in 2009 - reports Mirror Online.

Speaking on podcast, Official Charts: Take The Hit, Claire said her weight loss ultimately cost her a place as a campmate in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
