Stephen Lawrence killer David Norris has been moved to a tougher prison after being caught with a mobile phone.
Norris, 46, was transferred from Category C Dartmoor to Category B Exeter after he sent selfies and WhatsApp messages from his cell.
He was jailed for life with a minimum 14 years and three months for the 1993 murder of Stephen, 18, in Eltham, South East London. Stephen was stabbed to death by a gang of thugs shouting “what, n*****?” as he waited for a bus with pal Duwayne Brooks.
It is now unlikely Norris will be released when his minimum sentence expires in two years.
Norris was first caught with a phone in September. In one message, he blasted justice secretary Dominic Raab, who blocked his bid to move to an open prison.
He was found with a second phone last month following searches by prison staff.
Norris and Gary Dobson, 47, were jailed for life in 2012.
At the time of the murder, Norris was 16 and living with his dad in Chislehurst, Kent.
A spokesman for the MoJ said: “We do not tolerate illicit phones in jail and prisoners found with them should expect to face longer behind bars.”
