'Steely edge' - Former Derby County boss said this about Sabri Lamouchi's impact at Nottingham Forest

Former Derby County, Stoke and Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett has hailed Sabri Lamouchi's impact at Nottingham Forest.

The Reds extended their unbeaten run in the league to 10 games courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Brentford at the City Ground on Saturday.

Ben Watson's second-half volley was enough to seal the points, leaving Lamouchi's men second in the Sky Bet Championship table, only trailing leaders West Bromwich Albion on goal difference.

Rowett has been impressed by Lamouchi, who was appointed by Forest over the summer.

“He (Lamouchi) has brought a really steely edge to them and he’s done that everywhere he’s been," said Rowett, who was appearing as a guest on Quest's Championship highlights show.

"He’s got a fantastic record and they look very organised."

Rowett also highlighted currently injured skipper Michael Dawson and fellow central defender Joe Worrall as key men for Forest this season.

"Dawson and Worrall at the back are a key element for them and Forest look a lot more defensively solid," he added.
