Steelers vs Patriots: LB Ola Adeniyi returns to practice

In less than one week, the Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off their NFL regular season with a huge road matchup against the New England Patriots. This means facing their old nemesis Tom Brady and trying to shut him down. Pittsburgh got one weapon back in the battle to stop Brady this week when outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi returned to practice on Monday.

Adeniyi had been out for the past three weeks after having a minor procedure done to repair a slight meniscus tear. Thankfully an injury like this is more about pain management after the fact so as long as Adeniyi isn’t dealing with too much discomfort, he should be able to work his way into the lineup fairly quickly.

Adeniyi gives the Steelers one more dynamic edge rusher to rotate in with T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree. Putting the heat on Brady will be a top priority and Adeniyi has shown in two preseasons he’s got all the skills to be a top edge rusher.
