Steelers RB Najee Harris roasts Tua Tagovailoa’s touchdown dance

During the Dolphins’ Thursday night victory against the Baltimore Ravens, Tua Tagovailoa scored on a quarterback sneak to make it a two-score game with just over two minutes remaining. After getting into the end zone, he decided it would be a good time to celebrate with his interpretation of the popular “smeeze” dance.

Everyone seemed to love it, and it got his teammates fired up.

On Wednesday, during his media availability, Tagovailoa was asked who taught him the dance, and he gave some credit to his college roommate, now Steelers running back Najee Harris.

“My roommate in college my freshman year, Najee. Najee would do the dance a lot,” Tagovailoa said while doing the dance again. “He’s from the Bay Area, and I think that’s a Bay Area thing, right? I thought that thing was cool when I seen it, so learned how to do it and started doing it.”

At Harris’ media availability on Friday, he was asked his thoughts about Tagovailoa’s dance.

“I taught him it, but I never taught him to be that bad,” Harris said with a laugh. “He has no rhythm, no nothing. It was horrible, but hey, I tip my hat to him. He tried.”

These college roommate relationships are always ruthless, so you know Tagovailoa will give it back to him when he sees him. In the meantime, the quarterback will have to practice his moves.
