Now that the rumor is out there that this could be the last season for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, everyone wants to know what his teammates know. Defensive tackle Cam Heyward was asked if he had talked to Roethlisberger about the offseason and Heyward wasn’t going to share any secrets.
“Said a little bit, but that’s between me and him. I’m just happy the way he played tonight. To pick up a critical W for us, our QB came through,” Heyward said.
It feels like a foregone conclusion that this will be Roethlisberger’s last season with the Steelers. But in the back of everyone’s mind we are wondering if this will be his last season in the NFL. Whatever Roethlisberger decides, his departure will usher in a new era in Pittsburgh and the search for the next great Steelers quarterback will begin.
