DL Tyson Alualu re-signs with Steelers on two-year deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Friday morning they have re-signed defensive lineman Tyson Alualu to a two-year contract. Alualu, who was due to become a free agent next month, has been with the Steelers for two seasons since coming over from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Alualu has been a key reserve/rotational player for Pittsburgh along the defensive line. He started two games in 2018 and has started seven with the Steelers. Alualu saw a dip in production in 2018, finishing with no sacks after getting four in 2017. Keeping Alualu in the fold gives the Steelers a solid four-man rotation along the defensive line.
