Let’s be honest. Too many NFL teams are trying too hard to re-invent themselves through awful uniform changes. Franchises try too hard to be creative and inventive when the classic looks are always the best.
Every year at Inside Hook, they do a ranking of the best uniforms in the NFL and so we decided to check it out this year and see where the Steelers ranked on Uni Watch.
Pittsburgh checked in at No. 4 out of the 32 teams only behind the Las Vegas Raiders, Green Back Packers and Los Angeles Chargers.
We obviously have a bias but the clean lines of the Steelers uniforms are impossible to top. Nothing neon or pastel or whatever else and teams are trying to trot out to be new and edgy.
One place where the Steelers have a huge edge over the competition is in their alternative uniforms. No, we aren’t talking about the now-retired bumblebee uniforms. Pittsburgh’s Nike Color Rush are easily the best of that iteration of uniforms and the simple but perfect block letters on the throwbacks are maybe the most classic look in the NFL.
