Steelers add 3 players to Reserve/COVID-19 list

While the Baltimore Ravens are certainly the big story right now, they’re far from the only team dealing with COVID-19. On the day in which the Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game was once again rescheduled, the Steelers placed three players of their own on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Pittsburgh placed defensive ends Isaiah Buggs and Stephon Tuitt, and offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Friday. Baltimore also added four players to its Reserve/COVID-19 list, including quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Players that test positive for COVID-19 are held out a minimum of 10 days while those labeled as a “close contact” would be out for a minimum of five days. Though it’s unclear whether all three players tested positive or there’s a mix of positive tests and close contacts, all three players would be unable to play Tuesday night against the Ravens regardless.

Several teams around the league have seen players and staff members test positive for the coronavirus this week as the entire country sees an influx of cases. The Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos canceled their respective practices Friday due to positive tests while the Cleveland Browns have five players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
