A Standard campaign to help young people get into work has been shortlisted at the prestigious 2025 British Journalism Awards.
Our Destination Unknown campaign has been nominated for the Public Service prize, presented by Press Gazette in association with the Journalists’ Charity. The award "recognises British journalism which has had an impact and been a force for good".
Working alongside the King's Trust, our Destination Unknown campaign raised £1 million for training schemes. It was part of 15 years of Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund campaigns which have raised more than £60 million for community projects in London.
The Standard has been named as a finalist along with the Daily Express, Eastern Eye, The i Newspaper, Financial Times, and The Guardian.
The winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony in central London hosted by Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine on Thursday 11 December.
