Staff picks, predictions for Titans vs. Buccaneers in Week 10

When the Tennessee Titans travel to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday in Week 10 to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they’ll be looking for their first road win of the 2023 campaign.

Not only are the Titans 0-5 away from Nissan Stadium this season when you include the loss in London to the Baltimore Ravens, but Tennessee hasn’t won a road game since Week 11 of 2022.

If the Titans lose on Sunday, it will have been a full calendar year since their last road victory.

The Buccaneers enter this game looking to stop the bleeding after Tampa Bay has lost four straight. Making matters worse, the Bucs haven’t been good at home, with head coach Todd Bowles’ squad sporting a 1-3 record there.

The majority of experts from different media outlets and sportsbooks think the Buccaneers will win this game, but now it’s time to see what our staff thinks. Here are our picks and predictions for Week 10.

Our records

Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

Shaun Calderon: 1-7

Mike Moraitis: 0-8

Ryan Sikes: 1-1

No, Mike has still not correctly predicted a game this season. He’s pathetic in every sense of the word and his family is on the cusp of disowning him. Mike needs to pick better and predict better. His only hope of finishing above .500 is to run the table, but we know that isn’t happening.

Shaun has stunk, also, but slightly less. Ryan has the same number of wins as Mike and Shaun combined, despite having 14 less chances. He’s our Will Levis.

Now, on to the picks and predictions.

Shaun Calderon

Syndication: The Tennessean

This matchup between two desperate teams with identical 3-5 records is bound to be a dogfight.

In the end, I think the Titans finally get a much-needed victory on the road behind big performances by the Titans’ trio of Will Levis, Derrick Henry, and DeAndre Hopkins. Prediction: Titans 24, Buccaneers 20

Final score prediction: Titans 20, Steelers 17

Ryan Sikes

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans secure their first road win of the season against the second-worst passing defense in the league that is giving up nearly 280 yard through the air per game this year.

Will Levis is starting the rest of the way — barring injury — and the gunslinger has done well spreading the ball around and taking his shots downfield. Look for Levis and wide receiver Kyle Philips to continue developing chemistry.

The Titans’ defense will have its hands full trying to limit Baker Mayfield, Cade Otton, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rachaad White, but I think Tennessee makes one more play than a Buccaneers team that has not played well at home this season.

Final score prediction: Titans 26, Bucs 21

Mike Moraitis

Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans have done the opposite of what I’ve picked in each game this year, as evidenced by my inexcusable 0-8 record. Even my children look at me in disgust these days.

I’m going to take one for the team here: the Bucs win this game (😉).

Final score prediction: Bucs 27, Titans 24
