Stacey Solomon wows fans with bed-making hack so she doesn't have to iron duvets

Stacey Solomon has shared the unusual way she makes her beds – and it’s a game changer.

The 33-year-old revealed she uses a nifty contraption when tucking corners under so she never has to iron a duvet cover again.

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-five let her 5.7 million followers in on the unconventional bed-making hack.

Posting a clip called ‘Make the bed with me’, the Sort Your Life Out host told fans: “There’s just something so satisfying about fresh sheets.

“It’s sheet day on Sunday but did nothing yesterday but play in the garden so starting the week in fresh sheets instead.”

She then filmed herself standing on the bed she shares with TV presenter husband Joe Swash as she put the fitted sheet and duvet on.

But while most of us probably have a few creases on the duvet cover, Stacey has a genius way of getting them out.

She filmed herself using an old wooden coat hanger to pull the duvet cover tightly as she tucked it tightly under the mattress to achieve a perfect finish.

Showing off a bed that looked like it should be in a five-star hotel, Tap To Tidy creator Stacey then added pillows, cushions and a throw.

When fans asked her about the bedroom hack, she revealed she had been doing it ‘for years” and it saved her from breaking her nails.

“LOADS of you asking what contraption I use to tuck my bedding in with. It’s just a wooden clothes hanger,” Stacey revealed.

“I’ve been doing that for years and it makes it SO tight & I never have to iron or break a nail.”

Earlier this year, Stacey got fans in a spin when she weighed into the debate about how often you should change your bed sheets.

Speaking on Hits Radio, the Loose Women star shared she changes her bedding once a week.

In a chat with host James Barr, Stacey was asked what her bed sheet turnover was as he revealed he was recently single so was looking for cleaning advice.

At first Stacey said: "Once a week, I'd say."

However, she soon changed her tune when James acted surprised, saying it seemed too often.

Backtracking a bit, Stacey shared: "Do you know what? While you are single and enjoying that life, wallow in your own filth for a little while.

"You've got no one to impress. You know when you're single and you don't have to shave your legs? So you just go full Gruffalo. I feel it's the same.”

But now she’s a mum-of-five Stacey has a lot of beds to change if she judges her kids by her own standards.

Stacey and Joe welcomed baby Belle in February this year. They are already parents to one-year-old Rose and four-year-old Rex.

While Stacey is mum to older kids, Zachary, 15, and 11-year-old Leighton from previous relationships.
