Stacey Solomon recalls stigma of being a teenage mum in emotional Mother's Day post

Stacey Solomon took to Instagram on Sunday to share an emotional Mother's Day post as she discussed being a teen mum.

The Loose Women panellist, 33, became a mum for the first time at the age of 17 and recently welcomed baby number five.

And she opened up on how people reacted to her first pregnancy as a teen before gushing over how proud she is of all of her "pickles".

Stacey is mum to Zachary, 14, Leighton, 10, Rex, 3, Rose, 1, and newborn Belle.

The former X Factor contestant shared a number of snaps of her with her kids in the post, including one of all five sitting on the sofa - although the two youngest were fast asleep.

The second shows the beaming clan alongside Stacey's husband Joe Swash - who is dad to Stacey's three youngest children.

And the third and fourth upload see Stacey being hands on with the youngest duo.

Alongside the snaps, Stacey called her kids her "greatest achievement" and hit out at those who judged her as a 17-year-old mum.

She wrote: "I’ve been a mum since I was 17 years old. I barley [sic] remember life before becoming mum. I do remember all of the looks I’d get & all of the things that people would say when they saw a “child raising a child”.

"I can’t believe I am now a mummy of 5. And all I can say is, not one of those judgments or opinions back then were true. No matter how real they felt I look at each of them now and I have never felt so proud."

She continued: "They are the kindest most amazing people and I was a part of that Zachy, Leight, Rex, Rose, Belle You are all my biggest blessings. My greatest achievements. Every single one of you have made me who I am. I’m so grateful for you all."

And she said she would always love her kids "to the moon and back".

Finishing off her post, she added: "Happy Mothers Day to all of you mum's out there. Sending lots of love to all of you who find today extremely difficult."

Taking to the comments section she thanked her followed for being "the biggest support network" as they flocked to leave her positive vibes.
