Stacey Solomon made awkward Loose Women confession one day before giving birth

Stacey Solomon made an awkward confession on Loose Women - just one day before giving birth.

The former X Factor star welcomed her third child this morning, her first with boyfriend Joe Swash, "a lot earlier than planned".

Stacey's Loose Women pals rushed to congratulate her after Joe Swash announced the news with an adorable snap on her Instagram.

On Wednesday's show, Stacey held her hand up to being a "soap dodger" during a hilarious segement.

Stacey admitted that she does not have a bath or shower ever single day, much to the horror of some of her fellow panelists.

She explained: "I’ve always thought as long as you wash your important bits it's okay. Sometimes I don’t have time for a 15 minute shower.

"And also I don’t think it's that good for your hair or skin."

A poll found that 64% of Loose Women viewers think you should wash yourself daily.

Janet Street-Porter insisted that she would not get on public transport with anyone that had not washed.

Hitting back, Stacey said: "You’d have to not shower for days, for ages, to smell really bad. If you miss the shower once or twice you can’t [smell anything]."

Less than 24 hours later, Stacey gave birth to her third child.

Joe broke the news on Instagram (staceysolomon/Instagram)

Joe broke the news by sharing a picture of Stacey lying in her hospital bed with the baby on her chest on her Instagram account.

He wrote: "This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world. We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come. Mummy and baby are well and resting.

"We are so grateful for all of the love, support and positivity we’ve received over the last 8 months. I’m lost for words to describe how I’m feeling. So for now, I’m going to spend the next few days and the rest of my life falling more in love with these two humans.

"I didn’t think it possible but, today I witnessed the impossible. My partner, My love, my life, you are a super human. I am forever in awe. Joe X"

*Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
