Stacey Solomon in tears as baby Belle reaches important milestone

Stacey Solomon fans have been following the TV star's every move on Instagram, first waiting for news of her latest addition to the family and then eagerly awaiting an announcement on the baby's name. Now, the 5.5m followers that keep tabs on Stacey's world have been treated to more baby news and it had the former X Factor star in tears.

Taking to Instagram, the mum of five revealed that she had "a little cry" after newborn baby Belle reached a new milestone during a health check on Monday, February 20. Earlier, she had posted an adorable video which concluded with the tot snuggled up after Stacey's first attempt at creating a baby sling.

Stacey and husband Joe Swash are already parents to Rex, three, and Rose, one. Their family also includes Stacey's sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, as well as Joe's son Harry, 15, from previous relationships.

Followers of Stacey on social media are used to seeing the Loose Women panellist share updates about her life and home - Pickle Cottage. On Monday, the Mirror spotted that she had updated fans after Belle had her routine check-up from the health visitor. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Stacey said: "Yay Belle. We just had our two-week health visitor check. For the first time in five baby Belle is above her birth weight of 5lb 10 ounces and is now 6lb 8 ounces"

She added: "I had a little cry! Breastfeeding is working well & she’s loving it. My little piggy."

And if fans hadn't had enough, another cute baby and toddler picture emerged. A bedtime picture of Belle and Rose was added to Instagram. Captioned: "Rose is still a baby but she just feels so tall next to baby Belle". Rose is pictured holding a bunny rabbit cuddly toy stretched out next to her baby sister. The children are wearing matching white-spotted blue babygrows. Stacey added: "Bedtime for Belle & Rose."
