Stacey Solomon gets to work on her 'forever' house as transformations continue

Stacey Solomon's forever home project is well underway and fans are loving following the singer on her journey.

Thursday's sunshine saw the star's first focus be the outside of the home called "Pickle Cottage".

The pretty property in Essex - worth £1.2 million - will play home to Stacey, 31, her partner Joe Swash and her sons Zachary, 13, Leighton, eight, and one-year-old Rex.

And as the sun shone down on Thursday, the former X Factor star got out the power hose and gave the exterior a good going over.

Youngest son Rex offered a helping hand to scrub the medieval-styled wooden door to help get rid of the cobwebs.

Stacey also swapped the medieval lanterns for brand new hanging baskets.

As well as a spruce up and change of decor, Stacey unveiled a new Pickle Cottage emblazoned doormat and excitedly asked her followers: "How cute is that?"

She moved onto her post box and added an "Oh hello" message in fancy white text "for the postman".

She described how the outdoor transformation had made her day.

Although she was spending quality time with young Rex, the star admitted "it took twice as long" with her "little helper".

The pair took a well deserved break to enjoy the sunshine.

Rex took to colouring in, while Stacey admitted that when it got chilly the pair would continue their interior decorating.

But when the pair moved indoors it wasn't long before the mum-of-three began procrastinating.

With a paint brush in hand, Stacey took the opportunity to entertain her followers with an enthusiastic rendition of Lady Marmalade.

She explained that she had "spent two hours being an idiot instead of doing something productive".

Partner Joe even got involved in the dance routine - albeit just in photo form.

As soon as the star got the keys to her new home it was straight to work and she's already completed her conservatory, which she called her "favourite room".

It is complete with tall windows and brown tiled flooring, and Stacey wrote at the time of its completion: "This will be my favourite room I think. It's so warm and bright…"
