Stacey Solomon flooded with praise over 'cheats' post after showing reality of work on BBC show

Stacey Solomon has been flooded with praise as she took to social media to share a 'cheaters' post with her fans. The Loose Women star is often flooded with questions from her loyal followers over her craft prowess or home DIY skills.

But it appears fans were keen to know about Stacey's luscious blonde locks as she shared a clever hack to create a "cheaters" French plait in just a few minutes after being begged by them to share her trick. The 33-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday (June 8) to share with her 5.7M followers the easy-to-follow tutorial.

In the video, Stacey could be seen teasing her blonde locks into sections before tying them with several clear elastic hair bands. When she got to the bottom of her hair which had all been tied up, she began loosening the locks in order to hide the elastic hair bands and to add to the effect that she had created the complicated braid style, she simply plaited the ends together.

Posting the video to social media which showed her creating the plait herself, Stacey wrote the caption: "Ok so I did my cheaters plait this morning and LOADS of you keep asking me to show you how I do it again as it disappeared from my story so I thought I’d just chuck it on here.

"I really hope this makes sense and helps. Tag a friend who needs his. I used to actually get upset about how rubbish I am at braids, especially when thinking of doing my girl's hair when they’re older." The mum-of-five went on to thank @peneloperyanbeauty for showing her the nifty trick and said: "I’ll be forever in her debt. it’s so much easier, quicker and stays in SO well."

And the comments section was quickly flooded with comment as fans shared their delight that Stacey had shared her tip with them. @crazycleaningcrawford said: "Been hoping for this tutorial since you showed it on your stories! I always thought someone did your hair for you because it always looks this good!"

@loushomelife commented: "Stacey you are a genius! So trying this." @stephanie_foster82 shared: "I literally can’t believe I’m only learning this today! I’ve been such a disappointment to my daughter forever for not being able to French plait or cane row!!! Where was this hack 7 years ago!!!"

Soon after, the TV star continued to keep it real by showing the reality behind her work on her BBC One show, Sort Your Life Out. Since returning to work after welcoming her third child with husband Joe Swash, their baby girl Belle, Stacey has been keeping her fans updated as she travels across the country to help families looking for help to get their homes in order.

Stacey was thrilled on Thursday (June 8) as she got to work close to where her grandmother lives in Glouster and so got to pay her a visit on her way home before heading back to Essex. But it appears her relative was distracted upon her granddaughter's arrival due to her messy look.

Beaming for a snap posted on her Instagram Story, Stacey gave a thumbs up as she was seen with dirt splattered all over her face. "Finished work, just popped in to see grandma and she laughed her head off at me!" the former X Factor star typed. "She said I looked like the boys who used to sweep the chimneys when she was little [crying laughing emoji]."

Explaining why she looked like she did, showing that she really does get stuck in with the jobs at hand while filming, Stacey added: "In all fairness, I've been literally knocking down a chimney so not far off of a sweeper," alongside a crying laughing and prayer hands emoji.
