St Mirren to face both Old Firm sides in just five days after Celtic game rearranged

St Mirren are set to face both sides of the Old Firm in the space of just five days over the Christmas period.

The Buddies festive clash with Celtic has been rearranged due to the Hoops firing themselves into the League Cup final on Sunday, December 19.

Their trip to Paisley, originally set for Saturday, December 18, has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday, December 22 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The Saints then travel to Ibrox on Boxing Day to take on Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers just four days later.

The fixture switch increases the pressure on an already hectic period for Jim Goodwin’s side.

They travel to Tannadice on Wednesday, December 29 to take on in-form Dundee United before welcoming Graham Alexander’s Motherwell to the SMiSA Stadium on Sunday, January 2.
