St Mirren midfielder Greg Kiltie completes surprise transfer return to Kilmarnock

Greg Kiltie has completed a transfer return to Kilmarnock from St Mirren.

The 28-year-old moves back to Rugby Park after four seasons in Paisley, signing a two-year deal in Ayrshire.

An "undisclosed agreement" was struck between the clubs to facilitate the transfer.

Kiltie, who missed a chunk of last season through an ankle injury, had been a regular under Stephen Robinson at St Mirren.

However, the midfielder has returned to Kilmarnock after the transfer window officially opened earlier this week.

Kiltie had come through the Kilmarnock academy, playing 134 times for the first team before leaving the club to join St Mirren in 2021.

Now, though, he will make the trip back along the M77 to join Kilmarnock under new manager Stuart Kettlewell.

Kiltie had still been contracted to St Mirren for another two years, with his contract up in the summer of 2027.
