The St Enoch Centre shopping mall in Glasgow has confirmed it will reopen on July 13 along with 22 of its stores.
Game, Hamleys, Body Shop are among those that will resume trading following guidance from the Scottish Government. The Atrium Food Court will be open from July 15.
The centre and its car park will open for normal hours but some shops may trade restricted hours to start with. Customers should check times with individual stores.
As essential retailers, Boots and Tesco have remained opened throughout the lockdown, while r etailers with an outdoor entrance including Debenhams, Topshop, JD Sports and H&M are already open.
Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St Enoch Centre, said: “Our team has been working hard to prepare the centre for reopening and our number one priority is the safety of our shoppers, retailers and staff.
“We are closely following the guidance from the Scottish Government and are implementing a range of measures to ensure public safety including enhanced cleaning with specialist products, social distancing measure and restrictions on the number of shoppers.
“Individual retailers will also be taking steps to keep shoppers safe and we would urge everyone to play their part and follow these guidelines.”
Measures to ensure the safety of shoppers include sanitation stations, with a focus on key touch points such as lifts and escalators, social distancing floor markers and a limit on capacity.
All soft seating will be removed and only functional seating will be provided for elderly customers or those with a disability, a one-way system in place at our rest rooms and facilities will be scaled back.
