GUWAHATI: Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen, who hails from Haflong in Assam, called on Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday and discussed the present situation. He also me the chief secretary of Assam.
The 58-year-old 1988-batch Indian Police Service officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre took over as DG of SSB on June 1.
He also visited Frontier Headquarters SSB Guwahati and 1st BN SSB Sonapur on Friday to review the ongoing building construction works of Frontier Hqrs SSB.
According to a statement, the DG was received by Inspector General of Frontier Hqrs SSB Guwahati Sanjeev Sharma and senior officers of SSB. Ashok Kumar Gupta, ADG, CPWD Guwahati region, and his team of engineers were also present during the visit. A special guard of honour was presented to the DG followed by inspection of jawan’s barracks, separate family accommodation (SFA), Type-V quarters, amenity hall and administrative block buildings.
