Spurs news: Levy's plan for Pochettino, incredible stadium transformation, Lloris out until 2020

It is a bad time to be a Tottenham fan.

Struggling in mid-table in the Premier League and back-to-back defeats have left the players and manager Mauricio Pochettino under pressure.

Pochettino has admitted that maybe this international break has come at a good time for him and his players, with them able to regroup and take stock of just what has been going wrong.

There is plenty of work to be done before the team return to Premier League action against bottom of the table Watford on October 19.

Here we take a look at the biggest news stories doing the round from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the past 24 hours.

Eric Dier on poor form

Eric Dier has come forward and spoken out on Tottenham's poor form this season.

The midfielder returned to the starting lineup on Saturday, although it was not a successful return.

Dier, nor his teammates were up to the required standard as the Lilywhites slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Brighton.

But Dier fronted up afterwards and quashed thoughts of a lack of harmony in the dressing room.

Here's what he had to say.

NFL comes to town

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium underwent an incredible transformation on Sunday.

Much was made of the club's plans to incorporate an NFL venue into the designs of the new stadium and the first game took place at the ground in N17 on Sunday night.

And it was quite the spectacle all told.

But while more than 60,000 fans enjoyed the show, Tottenham were tight-lipped on the whole affair.

We took a look as to why.

Spurs stood still

Jamie Redknapp has not held back in his assessment of Tottenham so far this season.

The former Spurs man believes the club have "stood still" in recent years and failed to back "one of the best managers in the world".

Mauricio Pochettino is under intense pressure in north London, following a poor start to the campaign, with the last week in particular hard to take for fans.

But Redknapp does not think sacking him is the right way to go.

Levy's plan for Pochettino

Will Mauricio Pochettino still be the manager at Tottenham Hotspur come the end of the season?

It is a question many Spurs fans are now asking after the dismal start to this campaign.

Many are probably asking if he will still be in the hotseat after the international break, such has been the speculation over his future.

Chairman Daniel Levy is the one who will ultimately make the decision, unless Pochettino decides to leave of his own volition, but what will Levy do?

Lloris out until 2020

Hugo Lloris dislocated his shoulder during the 3-0 defeat to Brighton at the weekend.

He was given gas and air on the pitch and was in real pain.

And it has been confirmed by the club that he will be out of action until January.

Here's all the latest on his injury.
