Springboig incident: Man, 30, fighting for life in hospital after serious assault

A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious assault in Springboig.

Officers were called to Larchgrove Avenue on Thursday June 10 at around 9.10pm.

The 30-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he remains.

Police remain on the scene in Springboig at present as their enquiries continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10pm on Thursday, 10 June, 2021, officers were called to attend Larchgrove Avenue, Glasgow, following reports of a serious assault.

"Emergency services attended and a 30-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

A police presence remains in the area at Larchgrove Avenue (Ainsley Amy.)

"Medical staff describe his condition as life-threatening.

"A police presence remains in the area as enquiries continue."
