Spring sunshine still very much in charge

Sunny weather is in charge from the word go this morning, and it is likely to stay that way for the rest of today.

With the Merseyside region currently basking in temperatures warmer than Venice , there is no sign of that picture changing with high pressure still dominating.

In the sunshine and light winds it will feel warm, with a maximum temperature of around 16C.

Early mist, fog and frost will clear through Friday morning to give another fine day with long spells of sunshine. Winds will remain light so it will feel warm, with a maximum temperature of 17C.
