Saints slipped into the relegation play-off spot in the closing weeks, but he guided them to safety with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Partick Thistle.

McLeish has made a noticeable impact on the pitch. He has shifted away from Robinson’s more direct approach, favouring a more progressive style while also putting faith in young players he previously worked with in the academy.

Per the report, a continued focus on developing homegrown talent is expected to be central to his plans if his appointment is finalised.
