Speedway returns to West Lothian as Armadale Stadium hosts British Youth Championships

Speedway returned to Armadale Stadium for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon as it played host to the fourth round of the British Youth Championships.

A total of 31 races across the various categories were completed with some great racing on show amongst the most talented young riders in the country. While the event was staged behind closed doors, fans could watch live via the Edinburgh Monarchs website.

The Thompson twins, Dan and Joe, stole the show as they came one-two in the 500cc class.

Max James took the final in the 250cc class while there was a familiar name on the 125cc trophy as Stene Pijper, son of former Monarchs title-winnng rider Theo, won the ‘B’ group with Max Perry winning the ‘A’ group.
