KOLKATA: Kolkata Metro Railway has announced that it will provide special services for cricket fans attending the upcoming IPL T-20 match at Eden Gardens on May 8th, 2023.
The services are intended to help fans travel conveniently to their destinations after the match.
According to Kausik Mitra, the chief public relations officer of Metro, the first special service will depart from Esplanade at 00:15 hrs and reach Dakshineswar at 00:48 hrs. For the people of Kavi Subhash area, another special service will depart from Esplanade at the same time and arrive at Kavi Subhash at 00:48 hrs.
The booking counters will remain open at Esplanade station for the sale of Smart Cards and Tokens. The train towards Dakshineswar from Esplanade will stop at all stations along the way, and the same is true for the train towards Kavi Subhash.
Metro Railway hopes that these special services will enable cricket fans to travel conveniently and comfortably after the match. The services are sure to be a great boon for cricket lovers in Kolkata and the surrounding areas.
