Southall stabbing: One man slashed and six people injured in knife brawl at west London restaurant

One man was slashed and six other people were injured in a knife brawl at a restaurant in west London today.

Paramedics said seven people were treated for injuries and three of them were taken to hospital after the fight at a restaurant on The Broadway in Southall.

Emergency services, including three ambulance crews and police officers, were sent to the scene shortly after 11am.

One of the injured, a man aged in his 20s, suffered a slash injury, Met Police said. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Scotland Yard said officers believed two groups of people were involved. Two people have been arrested.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers are in Southall Broadway following calls at around 11.10am on Monday, March 18 to an assault in a restaurant.

“At this early stage, we believe two groups were involved.

“One male, aged in his 20s, has been taken to hospital suffering a slash injury. His condition is not life threatening.

“Two people arrested. Enquiries continue.”

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.14am this morning to reports of an incident on The Broadway, Southall.

“We sent three ambulance crews to the scene and an incident response officer.

“We treated seven people at the scene and took three of the seven to hospital.”
