East Kilbride-based South Lanarkshire College is supporting the first ever #ChooseCollege Virtual Showcase , which will take place online this month.
The free exhibition and information event will see 19 colleges from all over Scotland come together on one virtual platform to showcase their courses and share information about college life.
Organised by the CDN Marketing and Communications Network, the Choose College Virtual Showcase has been designed to inspire and engage prospective students, as well as anyone who is interested in finding out more about studying at a college in Scotland.
The virtual showcase also provides an excellent opportunity for parents, carers, teachers, and careers advisers to ask as many questions as they like about life at college – from the comfort of their own homes.

Attendees will be able to visit the virtual college exhibition stands, learn about college courses, progression routes, careers, apprenticeships, college life, and speak to college staff to find out about the wellbeing and support services in place to assist learners.
Seminar sessions will include keynote speakers from colleges – delegates can choose which session is most relevant to them.
The Choose College Showcase will run twice on Wednesday, May 26, between 3-5pm and 7-9pm, giving attendees the flexibility to choose their preferred session slot, or even attend both.
It follows on from the recent #ChoseCollege campaign, which saw Scotland’s colleges come together to share positive stories about how vital colleges are to the educational, economic and community health of the country. The six-week campaign reached over 8.8 million people on social media.
Stella McManus, depute principal at South Lanarkshire College, said: “I am delighted that we are taking part in this online information event with other colleges across Scotland.
"Colleges will be at the centre of the post pandemic economic recovery; supporting their communities, students and local businesses.
"This event will allow colleges to really showcase all the great opportunities and courses available in 2021 and beyond.
"I would encourage anyone thinking about studying at South Lanarkshire College in 2021 to consider attending this free event to find out more about how we can help you achieve your potential and look to the future.”
