Sorry, I Didn't Know returns to ITV for Black History Month - host, start date and more revealed

ITV debuted its first season of Sorry, I Didn’t Know last year, in October 2020.

After the comedic and educational show's acclaimed success, it is back again for Black History Month this year with the same entertaining host, team leaders and a variety of comedic guests.

ITV has a whole host of programmes dedicated to uplifting Black talent this month and Sorry, I Didn’t Know is part of this special collection.

What is Sorry I Didn't know about?

Sorry, I Didn’t Know is a five-part comedy gameshow, comprised of four rounds each episode, where team leaders and guests battle to unveil interesting Black History facts.

The show is commissioned by and Joe Mace in ITV Entertainment Commissioners, Gemma John Lewis and Joe Mace. It is also produced by the husband and wife team Fraser and Minnie Ayres at TriForce productions.

Speaking on the commissioning of this show, Gemma said ‘’We are delighted that Sorry, I Didn't Know is back for a second series...through a mix of comedy and poignance, each episode delivers something that viewers may not have known before.’’

Who hosts Sorry I Didn't Know and who's on the panel?

Hilarious host, Jimmy Akingbola will once again grace your screen on this show this season. Joining him again are team leaders and actor, Chizzy Akudolu and comedian and Loose Women panellist, Judi Luv. Judi Luv is also currently competing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

You can also expect to see a vast array of other British comedians as guests on the show including Dane Baptiste, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Russell Kane, James Acaster, Sara Pascoe and many more!

The line-up of both the hosts and guests will have their history and cultural knowledge tested as they are posed questions about unsung heroes and untold stories.

When is Sorry I Didn't Know season two out on ITV?

The second series of Sorry, I Didn’t Know, will air weekly on Sunday evenings on ITV 1. You will also be able to watch the series on ITV Hub, as well as catch up with the first series.

You can watch Sorry, I Didn’t Know every Sunday at 10.20 pm on ITV 1 and later on ITV Hub.
