Sophie Turner phoned her mum Sally before tying the knot to Joe Jonas in whirlwind wedding ceremony.
The couple walked down the aisle at Las Vegas’s Little White Chapel after the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night.
Footage from the surprise ceremony surfaced online after DJ Diplo shared a string of Instagram stories from the wedding.
Turner let her mother know about the shock move just moments before it took place.
She told the Mail Online: “Sophie did call me before. She said, 'Mum, I'm getting married in Vegas.'
“I am absolutely delighted and so is my husband Andrew.”
The publication added that she is yet to see any other images of the ceremony other than those that surfaced online.
Addressing reports the couple, who got engaged in October 2017, were supposedly planning to wed in the summer, Sally warned against “believing everything you read”.
Turner previously revealed that the couple had planned to wed later on in the year with her Game of Thrones co-star Maisie Williams as her Maid of Honour, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Last month she said: “I don't know why she's thinking about [what she's wearing to my wedding]. I'm giving her the bridesmaid dress! She's my maid of honor! One of two.”
The comments come hours after Diplo branded the pair’s relationship “true love”, revealing to followers that he was going to “hit the wedding real quick”.
A clip of the couple showed Jonas lovingly planting a kiss on Turner’s hand before sliding on the ring.
He announced: “I love you and I thank God he gave me you.”
Country stars Dan and Shay were also in attendance of the ceremony, officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator, as they played their hit Speechless to a crowed of impressed guests.
