CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday reiterated to strongly press for CBI probe with his Goa counterpart into the murder case of BJP leader and TikTok content creator Sonali Phogat .
Khattar assured this to the daughter and kin of Sonali Phogat who called on him at CM residence during late evening hours on Saturday.
Besides Yashodhra, the teenaged daughter of Sonali Phogat, rest who called on CM Khattar included Sonali's brother Rinku Dhaka, sister Rupesh, brother-in-law Aman Punia and nephew Moninder Phogat.
An official spokesperson said that CM Khattar has assured Yashodhra and family members that the government shall write to Goa chief minister to recommend and handover the probe to CBI at the earliest.
"We are there with the family at this point of time and we shall do our best to ensure that the family gets the justice" said CM Khattar.
According to information, the family also shared some of the conversation they had with Sonali ahead of the incident while demanding the CBI probe.
Notably, Phogat had been cremated on Friday morning.
