Son rested, Porro in, Sarr and Skipp decision - The Tottenham team Conte should pick vs West Ham

Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini will pick the Tottenham team together to face West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Conte is currently in Italy recovering fully after returning too early following emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder this month. The 53-year-old will liaise with his assistant Stellini over selecting the Spurs starting line-up to face David Moyes' Hammers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

We asked our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest to select the teams that they reckon Conte and Stellini might pick for the derby against West Ham.

There are a few decisions for the Spurs coaching duo to make following the 1-0 defeat in the San Siro against AC Milan on Tuesday night.

The shining lights of the team that night were 20-year-old Pape Matar Sarr and 22-year-old Oliver Skipp in a young midfield pairing. However, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg back after his suspension one of the youngsters will be dropped to make way for the experienced Dane.

Other decisions will come on the left of the back three and also whether Pedro Porro comes back in for Emerson Royal at right wing-back after a tough debut at Leicester.

Up front, all of Spurs' attacking trio struggled in Milan and Conte and Stellini must decide whether to bring in one or more of Richarlison, Arnaut Danjuma and Lucas Moura to freshen things up.

Gold’s team: Forster; Romero, Dier, Davies; Porro, Hojbjerg, Sarr, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Richarlison.

Stellini and Conte should make changes to his Tottenham XI after Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat against AC Milan. Richarlison should be one of the players to come into the side after Dejan Kulusevski struggled at the San Siro and he has been far from his best in recent weeks.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is available again after his Champions League suspension and will come straight back into the midfield at the expense of Oliver Skipp. Ben Davies for Clement Lenglet is another change that could well take place.

Pedro Porro will be hoping for another opportunity but that would be extremely harsh on Emerson Royal after a couple of good showings.

Guest’s team: Forster; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Sarr, Perisic; Richarlison, Kane, Son.
